THE WINNERS OF ALL.FILMS.LOOK.ALIKE COMPETITION - ROUND NO. 1

The Fazee3 (Fantastic) Filmmaker Award for Round #1 of All.Films.Look.Alike competition goes to two amateur filmmakers. Each film will also win a cash prize of 100 Euros. The 100 Euros cash prize for Ghour Mazra'ah winner is sponsored by the Zikra Initiative.

Special Mentions

• Mr. Suhaib Ja'araat from Ghour Mazra'ah village. Suhaib is a 16-years-old who started acting in indie films with the Cooperative when he was 14. He showed incredible passion for filmmaking and is considered the youngest talent in the Amman Filmmakers Cooperative to ever make a film. He was the first to finish his AFLA film and he is eagerly awaiting Round 2 of the competition. Considering this is his first film since he graduated from the Intro to Filmmaking Workshop, we are impressed by his ability to observe and absorb new skills. • Ms. Ghader Ismail & Ms. Ahlam Ahmad from Marka refugee camp. These young girls took the initiative to join the AFLA competition. To the best of our knowledge, they did not receive prior training in filmmaking skills. Hat tip to those young girls from Marka camp for daring to take the first step. Note: To select the winners, the jury is asked to compare films against other AFLA submissions only. Filmmakers who participate in five (5) AFLA competitions will also win a prize. Filmmakers who show the greatest progress will also win a prize at the end of 2010. Prizes to be shared among cast and crew.
