Jordanian Short Films in Sarajevo Winter 2009
The Amman Filmmakers Cooperative will curate a program of indie Jordanian short films part of the XXV Jubilee International Festival Sarajevo “Sarajevo Winter 2009″ to be held in the city of Sarajevo in Bosnia & Herzegovina. The film screenings will take place on the 18th of February at the Turkish Cultural Center. The film selection includes:

- Three Eyes, by Rawan Ziene & Hazim Bitar; Experimental, 2007

- Growing up in Amman Suburbia, by Hazim Bitar; Documentary, 2006

The jubilee “Sarajevo Winter” festival will be realized from 7th to 28th February, 2009, presenting artists from all over the world, through selected applications or by suggestions of different cultural institutions in all fields of art (performing art, music, visual art, film, video, literature). We wish to thank the Jordanian Ambassador to Italy H.R.H. Wijdan Al-Hashimi for making the recommendation.
The jubilee festival will be held marking 25 years of its existence and 25th Anniversary of the XIV Winter Olympic Games. In the year 2009 - the year of Haydn, 20th Anniversary of the Fall of Berlin Wall, 70th Anniversary of Guernica and the Art Association “Collegium Artisticum” from Sarajevo, the “Sarajevo Winter” will connect all these events through different art programs.
