COST: Free for all, but non-residents of Dead Sea communities must cover their own transportation, residence, meals, and workshop supplies if desirable.
TEAM: This workshop is managed and managed by the Amman Filmmakers Cooperative and funded by the Spanish Agency for Cultural Cooperation and sponsored by our local partner the Zikra Initiative and Ya Halawood Studioz.

- Common mistakes committed by beginners.

- Interview preparations.
- Permits & clearances.
- Location scouting.
- Shooting script.
III. Production
- Video camera operations.
- Shot angles.
- Framing the shot.
- Cutaways.
- Conducting the interviews.

- Audio issues.
- Lighting concepts.
IV. Post-Production
- Editing workstation configuration.
- Editing tools of the trade.
- Capturing and logging footage from camera to editing workstation.
- Arranging film footage for the rough cut.

- Subtitles.
- Incorporating photos/graphics.
- Exporting to CD, DVD, DV, Web film.
V. In-class Film Project
The instructor will demonstrate key documentary filmmaking concepts
described in the workshop by producing a short documentary.
