FIVE NEW FILMS FROM DEAD SEA VILLAGE ON HERITAGE AND VILLAGE LIFE

We are proud to introduce to you five new short documentary films by filmmakers from the Hope Films bootcamp held at the Dead Sea Village of Ghour. These fascinating films focus on traditions and village life. These productions are the first time the filmmakers produce films outside the confines of the workshop environment.
The first four films do not have dialog or do not require subtitles due to their visual nature.

1) MAGIC POWDER by Abdallah Dghaimat
Residents of Ghour Mazra'a village use chemistry and fire to produce the magic powder. DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!!

2) JUST ANOTHER FUN DAY by Sami Osheibat
A young boy is having fun feeding chicken and collecting eggs and just being a child. On one cool morning, the filmmaker follows his young brother around while he takes care of family business.

This child can do miracles. He is no ordinary child and his village is no ordinary village. Love and a strong belief in the human spirit can conquer all.

4) GREEN CAR by Abdallah Ajaleen
Move over Detroit, here comes the kids of Ghour Mazra'a village. A kid makes car using special manufacturing skills and attention to details. Best of all, the car is powered by renewable sources of energy: the human feet.
